How can we help?
The questions we get asked most, answered plainly. If yours is not here, write to us and we will add it.
Getting started
Accounts, profiles and the basics.
Yes. Creating an account, publishing gigs, messaging and hiring are free, and we never take a commission on what you earn. Sellers who want more gigs and more visibility can choose an optional monthly plan — see Pricing. We are a discovery and communication platform — we never handle the money between you and a client.
No. You can browse, publish gigs and message people without one. A CNIC is only needed if you want the verified badge, which helps clients trust a new profile.
Yes. One account covers both. Use the mode switch in the navbar to move between hiring and selling — your profile, gigs and messages stay in the same place.
About ten minutes. Onboarding asks for your profession, skills, rate and a short bio. You can add portfolio pieces and gigs afterwards.
Hiring on the platform
Finding, vetting and briefing freelancers.
Start from Browse gigs if you know exactly what you want delivered, or Find freelancers if you want to compare people and portfolios. Filter by category, rate, location and verification status.
Ask. Message the freelancer and ask them to walk you through a piece — what the brief was, what they specifically did, what they would change. Anyone who built the work can answer that in a sentence; anyone who did not, cannot.
Scope, deadline and budget range. A specific first message gets a specific reply, and saves you a week of back and forth. Our guides cover this in more detail.
Absolutely. Plenty of clients start with a small paid test project and move to a monthly retainer. That arrangement is entirely between the two of you.
Selling your services
Gigs, profiles and getting hired.
As many as you can genuinely deliver. Quality beats quantity — three sharp, well-illustrated gigs outperform ten vague ones.
Usually the title, the cover image or the price. Write the title as the outcome the client wants, use a real screenshot of your own work as the cover, and price against similar gigs in your category.
Directly — bank transfer, Payoneer, Wise, whatever the two of you agree. We do not process payments or hold funds, so nothing is ever stuck in an escrow queue.
Submit your CNIC in Settings. We check the name and photo match your profile. It typically takes one to two working days.
Safety and disputes
When something goes wrong.
We cannot recover funds — we are not a payment processor and hold no money. What we can do is act on the account: report it and we will investigate and remove users who repeatedly do this. Our Trust & safety page explains how to structure payments so this cannot happen.
That is not automatically a scam, but be careful. Keep scope and price agreements in writing on-platform first, so there is a record if something is disputed later.
Use the report link on their profile or gig, or email safety@pakistanfreelancers.com with the profile URL and what happened. We read every report.
Yes, from Settings. Your profile and gigs come down immediately; the Privacy policy explains what we retain afterwards and for how long.
Still stuck?
Write to us and a person will get back to you within one working day. Include links and screenshots if you can — it saves a round trip.
